The liberal media has been cheering a guestbook entry that Kim Yo Jong, the sister of North Korean Dictator Kim Jong Un, left at the Olympics. Too bad for them, they missed just one thing about the message — and it’s downright scary.

CNN has been all over the fact that representatives of North Korea made an appearance at the 2018 Winter Olympic Games. Apparently willing to cast aside their abysmal human rights record, the left has been praising the communist country ever since they decided to send a representative to the games.

In fact, they just went about haywire after Kim Yo Jong, the sister of North Korean Dictator Kim Jong Un, left the South Koreans a special note in the Olympic guestbook. As Mad World News previously reported, the entry seemed to be friendly:

“I hope Pyongyang and Seoul get closer in our people’s hearts and move forward the future of prosperous unification,” she said in her guestbook message, referring to the capitals of North and South Korea. [Source: CNN]

Of course, clueless liberals everywhere erupted after hearing the news. For some reason, they were willing to simply ignore the horrors that North Korea was responsible for and simply welcome them with open arms. Even South Korean President Moon Jae-in referred to the entry as a “warm message.”

However, things may not be as they appear. Sure, the term “unification” sounds like an olive branch being extended, but that’s likely not the case. Right now, people are operating under South Korea’s presumption — that the wording represents a relationship-building desire centered around the goal of bringing North Korea into South Korea’s “democratic, capitalist system.”

Sadly, it may actually mean the exact opposite. In fact, The Weekly Standard states that the phrase liberals are lauding may actually be a not-so-thinly veiled threat. When you look at how North Korea has used the phrase in the past, what they actually mean by “unification” is “final victory.”

When the North says “unification” they mean final victory over the South, the destruction of a prosperous democracy, and the enslavement of 50 million more Koreans to the [Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un] Kim cult. [Source: The Weekly Standard]

In short, the proclaimed “warm message” may actually be a warning that North Korea would end the Korean War and declare its capital, Pyongyang, the winner. As The Weekly Standard suggests, North Korea is aiming to “split” the U.S. from its alliance with South Korea. From there, North Korea could coerce South Korea to submit through the use of nuclear weapons, allowing completing their plans of “unification.”

Too bad for North Korea, that doesn’t look like it’s going to happen anytime soon. Come to find out, Vice President Mike Pence wanted to set the record straight and had a few words for the communist leadership. “There is no wedge there,” he said according to Defense News. “On a political level in Seoul, there is no wedge that can be driven between us by North Korea.”

The Weekly Standard boldly declared, “Kim Yo Jong’s call for ‘unification’ isn’t warm: It’s an implicit threat to destroy the country that hosted her.” Sadly, not too many people can see through this, but there are a few who can.

In fact, CNN’s Jake Tapper lashed out at everyone praising North Korea for the appearance and “warm greetings.” He gave the media a massive spanking and reminded everyone of the horrid and true nature of North Korea:

Sadly, the one man exhibiting common sense over at CNN is standing alone at the moment. Although liberals won’t likely heed his words, Vice President Mike Pence warned of the same thing, saying that the U.S. shouldn’t allow North Korea’s public performance to lull Americans into a false sense of security.

Anyone with the ability to think for themselves can see exactly what North Korea is up to here — but the fact that people in America are cheering for them is utterly unthinkable. The people running that country are monsters. Their people are starving and imprisoned, and one can only imagine the amount of torture that goes on in that country on a daily basis. Those praising North Korea aren’t just un-American, they’re as inhuman as they come.
