Atlanta Thug Assaults Cop After Being Given A Ride, Good GAL With A Gun Makes Him Pay

A shocking story has emerged out of Dawson County, Georgia, where a homeless thug assaulted a police officer after the cop gave him a courtesy ride and then offered him a few bucks. Now, the news report has gone viral after a good gal with a gun made the wannabe cop-killer pay, and rightfully so.

According to local news source Fox5, the assault took place on the afternoon of Tuesday, December 5, 2017, at a Chevron gas station in Dawson County. Sheriff Jeff Johnson said that 52-year-old Sergeant Randy Harkness had given a courtesy ride to a homeless man out of the goodness of his heart. In return, the homeless thug assaulted Harkness and may have even reached for his gun during the attack, according to The Daily Caller.

“He then began to give the gentleman some money just to help him out and the suspect began to physically assault him,” said Sheriff Johnson.

Things did not look good for Harkness, who was apparently caught completely off guard by the attack after preparing to give the bum some money as he dropped him off. This is when Johnson said that a woman who was sitting in her car at the gas station noticed what was happening and immediately took action. This woman is truly a hero.

Johnson said that the gun-toting woman sitting in her car got out after she saw Harkness being attacked and shot at the suspect hitting him at least once. Police said that this good gal with a gun surprised the attacker and forced him to jump up off of Harkness and run.

“She shot off a round. The guy got off the police officer and she shot another round, and he was running that way. I think, there was three shots,” said Aseem Kahn, the owner of the gas station. “It could have been worse, mate, thank you for that lady who was carrying,” said Kahn.

After being shot by the heroic woman who was carrying a firearm, the homeless man fled across the street to a McDonald’s. Police said that he punched an elderly woman in the face and attempted to steal her vehicle. This is when several customers inside the McDonald’s jumped up and subdued the thug until deputies arrived on the scene.

Sharon Cheek, who works as a shift manager at the McDonald’s, told Fox5 News that it looked like the suspect was trying to steal the elderly woman’s car. “He told her, looked at her, and told her she was dead, and then punched her square in the nose, 75 years there was no sense,” said Cheek. She also said that the homeless thug got a little brutal justice from the fed-up customers who jumped on him. “Punched him, then got him on the ground and started beating him he was holding him down ‘til the cops got here,” added Cheek.

Neither of the men who subdued the homeless man nor the woman who shot him wanted to make a statement on camera. They were happy with the satisfaction that came from doing the right thing. This is the mark of a true hero. “They are the heroes because they kept him from injuring anybody else,” said Cheek.

When deputies arrived, the suspect was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment, and he will reportedly be charged with several crimes when he is released. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation and Dawson County District Attorney’s Office are involved in the investigation to determine, among other things, if the woman who fired on the man attacking Sgt. Harkness should face charges. That should be an easy call since she did the right thing, and had she not acted, Sergeant Harkness’s family might be planning his funeral right now instead of welcoming him home.

Once again, the 2nd Amendment pulls its own weight. This time, a good-hearted deputy is alive and well because of a good gal with a gun, who wasn’t afraid to step up and take out the trash. Although she did not want to speak publicly about the ordeal, she deserves a tremendous amount of gratitude for saving the deputy’s life.
