How far would you be willing to go to stop an armed assailant from jacking your stuff from you? Seriously, think about it?
A man walks up to you, stops you in broad daylight with a gun in hand and starts asking you for your belongings.
First, he demands it, then he starts yelling at you, and then he pulls a gun on you. What do you do?
Do you drop your stuff and let the guy go? You might be able to buy a new laptop, earn more money and replace the items he takes anyway, right? Or do you square up with the thug, let your hands go and stake your claim on what’s rightfully yours?
A 16-year-old boy had done just that when he was walking down a street in New York City and an armed man ran up behind him, pulled out a pistol and demanded that the boy give him his jacket. The boy had just been walking along, enjoying some music on a cold winter’s day when the man walked up and stuck a gun in his stomach. Flustered, the boy took his earphones out to hear what the man was saying.
Upon hearing the man’s demand, he straightaway rushes for the pistol, punching the man and then pushing the armed assailant into a full rubbish bin as he cops a few heavy looking smacks to the face and body with the butt of the pistol.
The would-be thief wrestles the young man to the ground where the two tussle in the snow.
Seeing that the juice isn’t worth the squeeze, the thug races away from the scene while the teenager gets to his feet, still in possession of his jacket.
Now, you could say the teenager’s actions were foolhardy, reckless or just plain dumb, and we’re very glad to see he came out still in possession of his belongings and more importantly without a bullet wound for his trouble.
What would you do in a situation like that? Do you let the mugger take your belongings, or do you do what this young man did? Check out the footage below and let us know your thoughts in the comments!
